Carlo Dolci (1616-1686 ) was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active mainly in Florence, known for highly finished religious pictures, often repeated in many versions. Although he was precocious and apprenticed at a young age to Jacopo Vignali, Dolci was not prolific.
